About Us

And Why We Exist

About Us

I’m Mike Collier, founder of Apex Outlander LLC. Above all, I am a father to three boys and one daughter (born May 2026). They are the reason I dedicate every single day to excellence — to set the example they deserve and to ensure we never have a Plan C when it comes to protecting what matters most.

Plan A was service to our country. I spent nearly twelve years as an Infantryman and Squad Leader in the United States Army, including multiple combat deployments. That chapter forged in me real leadership, unbreakable resilience, and the kind of practical, commonsense problem-solving that still guides every decision I make.

Plan B was my transition into engineering. When service-related injuries required a new direction, I pursued my lifelong passion for science and exploration. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Rocket and Jet Propulsion from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating in May 2022. I then applied that knowledge as a Gas Turbine Service Engineer at Mitsubishi Power Americas, leading root-cause analyses, conducting major inspections, and building tools to make high-performance systems safer and more reliable.

Today, I channel that same battlefield grit and aerospace precision into Apex Outlander LLC — the veteran-owned company I founded to give American families real tools for real threats.

At Apex Outlander, we don’t just sell survival gear. We engineer solutions that perform when everything else fails. From premium, durable equipment built to the highest standards to our flagship modular CBRN protective systems — blast-resistant shelters, sealed entry systems, and advanced air intake/exhaust filtration — every product is designed using proven aerospace principles: fluid dynamics, shock-wave attenuation, and rigorous structural load analysis.

I am currently completing detailed survivability research on these systems within approximately one mile of a 1-megaton nuclear surface detonation. These are not ordinary shelters; they are engineered fortresses meant to protect the people you love when the stakes are highest.

We prioritize American-made products and craftsmanship at every step. Our commitment is simple: when lives are on the line, there is no room for compromise.

For my family and the growing Apex Outlander survival community, there is no Plan C. While others wait and hope for the best, I am actively engineering the future of survival technology — building the very systems that will allow us not only to survive, but to rise above the chaos.

This is more than a business. This is my mission: to create a community of the prepared who refuse to be victims of circumstance. When it all hits the fan, we don’t just endure — we dominate.

Thank you for trusting us with what matters most.
